GTA 6 All Leaked Gameplay Footage: Grand Theft Auto VI Download and Streaming

As it turns out, there have been some recent developments associated with GTA 6, wherein Rockstar Games has hinted at a big release in 2024. Additionally, the world of leaks and rumours has given us enough content to figure out the basic plotline, map and gameplay that GTA 6 is going to offer.

A couple of years ago, people had allegedly posted some leaked gameplay footage from GTA 6 on the GTA Forums website. The footage showed several familiar spots from Vice City in modern-day graphics. Fans also observed the familiar Malibu Club, Ocean View Hotel, Little Haiti and Vice Beach. The leaked footage also hinted at the presence of an underground railway system. Best of all, Rockstar Games actually confirmed the authenticity of the leaked footage.

Based on the leaked footage, it looks like the gameplay will be quite familiar, albeit with a couple of changes. The developers are trying out some new mechanics for character movement, one of which includes crawling while prone. The character was also seen carrying a body, which could be a new gameplay element to explore. The weapon wheel introduced in GTA 5 will be returning, and you can also expect to see realistic character animations, better vehicle handling, the ability to fly an aircraft and lots of water sports in GTA 6.

City of London Police have arrested a 17-year-old teen in Oxfordshire on suspicion of hacking, with sources claiming that the arrest is related to a recent hack that caused stolen gameplay videos of GTA 6 to appear online.

The source of the videos is currently unconfirmed, but may well have been the result of a hack. Teapotuberhacker claims they were downloaded directly from Rockstar's internal Slack groups. We will not be linking to the videos in this article.

The footage was posted as a download on the GTAForums(Opens in a new window) by user teapotuberhacker, along with the message, "Its possible i could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build."

As IGN reports(Opens in a new window), teapotuberhacker claims the files were downloaded from Rockstar's internal Slack groups, suggesting the leak is a result of a hack similar to the one Uber faced earlier this week.

Rockstar Games recently experienced a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from its systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto. Current Rockstar Games services are unaffected. We have already taken steps to isolate and contain this incident.

In a statement, the company said it "recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto."

The Grand Theft Auto series belongs to a genre of free-roaming role-playing video games called open world games, and grants a large amount of freedom to the player. Traditional action games are structured as a single track series of levels with linear gameplay, but in Grand Theft Auto the player can determine the missions that they want to undertake, and their relationship with various characters are changed based on these choices. Influenced by the earlier game Turbo Esprit,[57][58] the cities of the games can be roamed freely at any point in the game, and are examples of open world video game environments which offer accessible buildings with minor missions in addition to the main storyline. There are exceptions: missions follow a linear, overarching plot. These missions are required to complete in order to unlock new areas in the game.

Criminal activities in Grand Theft Auto games do not go unnoticed by the police. As the player engages in these in-game illegal activities, they may gain a "wanted level", represented by a maximum of five or six stars. A small crime, such as running over a non-player character, may create a one star wanted level situation, while shooting an officer may earn more stars. As the number of stars increase, the amount and strength of the response will increase; a single star might have a few police cars chase after the player, while at 5 or 6 stars, tanks and attack helicopters will chase down the player. Many in-game missions will automatically give the player a wanted level after completing a certain event which they must then get rid of before the mission is complete. Often, trying to keep away from the police while wanted will cause the player to gain even higher wanted levels. The player can remove their character's wanted level by avoiding detection or spending in-game money at specific locations to elude the police (such as a mod shop to repaint their car). Alternatively, if the player-character dies, they will respawn at a hospital and the wanted level will be removed, though the player may lose money, guns, and other benefits they had before being chased. The "wanted level" gameplay concept has become common in similar open world games.

There was an unprecedented GTA 6 leak on September 18, 2022, which saw dozens of videos and screenshots from an alleged in-development build of the game spread online. Are you wondering whether the GTA 6 leaks are real? Well, Rockstar has since issued a statement confirming the hack: "We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto."

In the 48 hours since the GTA 6 leak first appeared, the GTA Forums have worked to scrub all remnants of the illegally obtained screenshots and videos to avoid being "obliterated by Rockstar". The dedicated GTA 6 reddit has also taken all links, pictures, and videos of the leak offline, and has committed to staying online with one condition: "We will allow discussions related to the leak without attaching the leaks. We don't allow comments that has [sic] download links to the leak."

The GTA 6 location has long been speculated, but it looks like we are indeed heading back to Vice City. Rockstar has confirmed that the leaked GTA 6 gameplay footage is real, which means we have a better sense of the city and the setting. For starters, one screen shows an underground rail system with the words "Vice City Metro" printed on the side, while eagle eyed viewers may have even spotted familiar spots from GTA 3: Vice City like the Malibu Club, Ocean View Hotel, Little Haiti, and Vice Beach.

In one of the forum posts, the self-proclaimed hacker wrote, "These videos were downloaded from Slack (employee communications)." Coincidentally, the Uber hacker gained admin control of a Slack workspace during that attack.

Some of the videos were posted to YouTube and removed. But some have been reposted and were available at the time this story was filed. The posted video shows gameplay as a developer would see it, with scenario editor and world editor controls, along with technical analytics for performance monitoring and debugging.

Hacker 'teapotuberhacker' has claimed to leak over 90 videos of the GTA 6 early gameplay as the game is currently under development. The leaked videos show a female protagonist in the vice city and other non-playing characters have been developed precisely.

"We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including footage for the next Grand Theft Auto," Rockstar wrote in a statement published on Twitter.

On Saturday, over 90 gameplay videos from "Grand Theft Auto VI" were leaked online to GTAForums, a "Grand Theft Auto fan site, by a user with the screen name "teapotuberhacker." The videos were then widely shared.

Not only one or two, but a whole swath of GTA 6 gameplay footage have managed to squeak into the internet, showcasing various elements of the game, such as voice acting, gunplay mechanics, a car chase, and different protagonists with the latter being similar to GTA 5.

What appears to be the biggest leak in Rockstar's history has emerged on GTA forum page. The user teapotuberhacker shared ten thousand lines of source code and 90 clips containing GTA 6 gameplay footage. Just as earlier rumors suggested, one of the protagonists of the new installment is a female. The clips with GTA 6 gameplay videos are currently available on Youtube and other platforms, but it might be a question of time before Rockstar takes them down.

The firm claims a hacker unlawfully infiltrated its servers and "downloaded proprietary material," including unpublished game footage. The hacker's breach caused the videos to become viral on social media, despite the company's best efforts to remove them.

The character in the released clip adds, "So Jay Norris can download your brain and sell it to the Chinese." Jay Norris parodies Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The video also references LifeInvader, a "Grand Theft Auto" spoof of Facebook that pokes fun at the real-world social networking platform's privacy issues.

A huge amount of information on GTA 6 was leaked shortly after the game's initial reveal, forcing Rockstar to remove hefty amounts of early-development footage from all over the internet. While this was all clearly very early gameplay, the short clips did give us our best look at what Rockstar has planned for Grand Theft Auto 6.

Seeing as Rockstar has yet to release any official details on gameplay, we have very little to go off of currently. According to the leaked early development footage, we say this year, it does seem that Rockstar is trying out some new mechanics for GTA 6. There seems to be a focus on robbery and heists, with some new stealth mechanics thrown in for good measure.
